Authority in Christ
Faith Compass
Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Morning Light
You are not who the enemy says you are. In Christ, you are a child of God — given the right, the authority, that comes with belonging to Him.
He did not leave you earthbound and powerless. God raised you up with Christ and seated you with Him. Your identity is settled in heaven before your day even begins. That is where authority starts: not in striving, but in who you already are in Jesus.
Submit to God first. Then resist. The order matters. Authority in Christ is not loud self-confidence; it is quiet confidence that His name is enough, and the enemy must flee when you stand under it.
Walk It Out
Speak John 1:12 over yourself — you are a child of God with God-given right.
Thank Him that you are seated with Christ; refuse to live from fear or defeat.
Yield to God first, then resist the enemy’s lies — and watch him flee.
Quiet Place
Father, thank You that in Christ I am Your child. Thank You that You raised me up and seated me with Him. Today I submit myself to You. I resist every lie that says I am powerless or alone. Teach me to walk in the authority of Jesus’ name — not in pride, but in belonging. I am Yours. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
