Rest in His Joy

“The joy of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10 NIV “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28 NLT

Hey friends and family, Jesus’ love lifts you like a gentle melody, bringing rest to your soul. Life can drain you, but He’s there, whispering, “I’m here, rest in Me.” His Gospel’s the gift—God gave His Son on the cross to trade your weariness for His joy (John 15:11). Ever feel His peace settle in, like a quiet strum that soothes your heart? That’s His sacrifice, offering you a relationship, not a checklist. “You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing” (Psalm 30:11 ESV). By leaning into His love, you can share His rest, like humming a tune that brightens a friend’s day. When did Jesus’ love give you rest or joy? Who needs His Gospel to feel that peace?

Embrace Jesus’ rest and joy with these three ways to soar:

1. Think on His Peace: Reflect on a moment Jesus calmed you—write it down to let Matthew 11:28 sink in.

2. Do with His Word: Read a verse (try Psalm 30:11) and pray, asking Jesus to fill you with His joy.

3. Do for Others: Share a kind word or small act with someone who’s weary to show His love.

Jesus, thank You for Your sacrifice that gives me rest and joy. Help me share Your Gospel. “My soul finds rest in God” (Psalm 62:1 NIV).
