Healed by His Grace
Morning Light
Hey there, friends and family, pull up a chair. John 8:36 says, “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed”. Jesus’ words land like a key turning in a rusted lock, setting you loose. Life can leave you shattered—sin piling up like broken glass, shame weighing heavy, or that lost feeling, like you’re wandering in a haze with no way out. Maybe you’re out there, carrying scars from your past, thinking you’re too broken for forgiveness, scared hope’s not for you. That pain steals your rest, leaving you aching for something whole. Jesus came to heal you through salvation, no matter how lost you feel. He’s God’s only Son, who died on the cross to make you whole. “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18 ESV). Jesus didn’t come to shame you—He came for sinners, calling you to repent and believe. “There will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance” (Luke 15:7 ESV). He took your sins, your brokenness, and bore them on the cross, saying, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28 NLT). Salvation isn’t about saving yourself; it’s about surrender—turning from sin, saying, “Jesus, I need You,” and letting His forgiveness mend you. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9 ESV). What does it mean to surrender to Jesus when you’re in pieces? It’s letting go of your guilt, trusting His sacrifice, like stepping out of a storm into shelter. John 8:36 says you’re free indeed—free from shame, with rest that settles your soul and joy that feels like sunlight breaking through clouds. Ever feel His forgiveness lift you, like finding solid ground after stumbling? That’s salvation, Jesus holding you close, no matter how far you’ve wandered. If you’re lost, hear Him now: repent, believe, and let His grace heal you. In worship today, don’t carry those scars alone. Surrender to Jesus, let His forgiveness restore you, let His joy fill you, and share it, like guiding a friend to safety. When did His freedom heal you? Who needs His Gospel to find that rest?
Walk It Out
Here are three ways to rest in His salvation:
1. Think on Your Chains: Reflect on a specific sin or shame Jesus forgave—journal how His grace broke that chain, letting John 8:36 stir your heart to trust Him deeper.
2. Think on His Cross: Picture the moment Jesus took your guilt on the cross—spend a quiet moment asking, “What’s holding me back from surrendering fully?” and let His love answer.
3. Do for Others: Share a kind word or act with someone lost in pain, pointing them to His forgiveness by telling them why you believe in Jesus.
Quiet Place
Let’s pray: Jesus, thank You for dying to heal me with salvation’s rest and joy. Forgive my sins, help me repent, and share Your Gospel with the lost. “You are my healer” (Psalm 30:2 NLT).
